By evaluating, qualifying and preserving the cultural, economic and environmental aspects of raw material, we enhance its value, and link that value to certification standards. Working in partnership with architects, builders and other professionals, we analyze design drawings to clarify green, aesthetic and structural specifications, and identify available resources which meet LEED project requirements.

Reclaimed Wood: Materials produced out of industrial building deconstruction can be used to support regional mill production operations, preserving jobs threatened by mill closures and dwindling local forest resources.

Lesser Known Species: Typically used for co-generation, wood pulp and pallet production, the development of new markets for these under-utilized wood species can support small rural economies through worker retraining and green wood product manufacture.

Recycled Wood Waste: Woodbank's resource recovery process channels construction, demolition and manufacturing wood waste into new green wood product manufacture, including flooring, building timbers and furniture.

Agricultural Wood Waste: Washington's depressed apple industry is currently cutting down apple orchards and selling the waste as firewood. We can convert this waste into wood pulp used in the manufacture of pressed fireplace logs for retail sale.

Sustainable Wood: Certified green hardwoods from around the world are imported into Woodbank's storage and distribution facilities for secondary milling and drying, which adds value to the materials and helps expand the green wood market.
